'JAZZ KONTAKT' ON INDEPENDENCE DAY OF UKRAINE: FREE EVENT WITH OPEN JAM SESSION @ZENNER

  • Aug 24 2024 - 3:00 pm

DOORS: 17H

This event is free of charge, but needs registration. Please, register here!

Meet our new project JAZZ KONTAKT in collaboration with Music Export Ukraine and VITSCHE– an initiative aimed at sharing the vibrant music movement of Ukraine with the world. In the context of Ukraine's transition from wartime to post-war reconstruction, this project takes on a unique identity, addressing not only the musical journey but also the broader social norms and communities affected by the aftermath of conflict. The project holds profound relevance for the local Ukrainian community and cultural organizations as it contributes to the redefinition of their shared vision in a post-war setting. By actively engaging with clearly defined communities, the project JAZZ KONTAKT promotes inclusiveness, celebrates the beauty of diversity, and demonstrates resilience in wartime.

JAZZ KONTAKT project is dedicated to proving the power of synergy, so on the 24.8.2024, Ukrainian and Berlin-based bands will share a ZENNER summer stage to connect in a music dialogue that speaks louder than words. We are more than excited to present the line up:

NEW BRAIN TRIO/UA

Leona Berlin/DE

An open jam session will follow as a culmination of the event, so we invite the musicians to take part! Please, register for the jam session as a musician here.

XJAZZ! is joining Vitsche and Serhiy Prytula Humanitarian Foundation as a #UkraineVerstärker_in  to bring hope to children in the Kharkiv region.

Our team decided to participate in a collective fundraising campaign to renovate a bomb shelter at the school in Novopokrovka, Kharkiv region.

We want to raise 500 euros and contribute to the children's future. The total fundraising target is 200,000 euros.

Please, support us with donations by this link!

The JAZZ KONTAKT project is implemented by XJAZZ! FESTIVAL with support of IZOLYATSIA foundation, Trans Europe Halles and Malý Berlín and co-financed by the ZMINA: Rebuilding program, created with the support of the European Union under a dedicated call for proposals to support Ukrainian displaced people and the Ukrainian Cultural and Creative Sectors.
