The Grammy award-nominated artist Theo Croker is a storyteller who speaks through his trumpet. After spending seven years in Shanghai, Croker found his voice on the 2014 Dee Dee Bridgewater-assisted album Afro Physicist. Following the success of Escape Velocity in 2016, he ascended to new heights with Star People Nation in 2019. The record garnered a nomination in the category of "Best Contemporary Instrumental Album'' at the 62nd GRAMMY Awards. On his new album BLK2LIFE || A FUTURE PAST, he tells a haunting story about the origins, present and future of Black culture in the USA. Musically, Croker proves his status as an outstanding musician, producer and songwriter who stands far above the young US jazz scene. His album transcends all genre boundaries and combines elements from the entire history of African-American music culture and far beyond.
